Via Shaw Main Streets.
With only a few days left as mayor of Washington, D.C., one of Vince Gray’s last orders of business is to put his big scissors to use one more time. Starting at noon, Gray and his big scissors—along with Councilmember Vincent Orange and Councilmember-elect Elissa Silverman—will cut the ribbon on 17 (!) new businesses, storefront improvements, and murals in the Shaw neighborhood.
Here’s what’s being inaugurated with a pair of big scissors today:
- Beau Thai, 1550 7th Street NW (New Business)
- Dolci Gelati, 1420 8th Street NW (New Business)
- Halcyon Salon, 1326 9th Street NW (Great Streets Improvements)
- Penthouse 9, 1318 9th Street NW (New Signage)
