THEATER: Both Bad Jews at Studio Theatre ($44-88) and Famous Puppet Death Scenes at Woolly Mammoth Theatre ($20-$78) close this Sunday.

SATURDAY

MUSIC: Nairobi-based artist Andrew Anda performs as The Age of Heroes at Union Arts (411 New York Avenue NE). Pianist Leo Svirsky, experimental duo Kordra, Naxalite and Stephen Palke round out the bill. $8. 8 p.m.

THEATER: Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity, presented by Theater Alliance at the Anacostia Playhouse (2020 Shannon Place SE), closes Sunday. Saturday performances at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. $35. Limited number of tickets will be released at the door one hour before the performances.

TEXT: The American Poetry Museum (716 Monroe Street NE, Studio 25) hosts Brian Feldman’s “txt,” an interactive performance where audience members create dialogue through tweets. Every Sunday in 2015, with four exceptions, at 7 p.m. $20.

THREE KINGS: Celebrate Three Kings Day with a procession in Columbia Heights featuring live animals with presentations at Gala Hispanic Theatre (3333 14th Street NW) at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Free: “Tickets will be distributed at the GALA box office at 10 a.m. for the 11:30 a.m. show, and at noon for the 2:30 p.m. show. JAZZ: Mike Stern is a revered guitarist, and Dennis Chambers is an equally esteemed drummer. The two have been collaborating on and off for over 20 years, and the two will co-lead a quartet on Sunday, January 4, at Blues Alley (1054 31st Street NW). 8 and 10 p.m. sets.
