The Maryland Transit Authority has suspended all trains on MARC’s Brunswick line after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Gaithersburg.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, reports of a person struck by a MARC train were received at about 4:12 p.m. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, the victim was declared dead.
As of now, the MTA says the train—Train 891—is stopped at Rockville and the Brunswick Line is suspended as police and fire officials investigate the scene.
