The Metro Transit Police are investigating a shooting on a Metrobus last night that injured two people.

According to the MTP, the shooting occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. last night in the 100 block of H Street NW when an eastbound X2 was stopped at a bus stop. According to a release, “a male passenger exited through the rear door, turned and fired at least one round into the bus.”

Two passengers, ages 21 and 47, were struck by bullets and suffered non-life-threatening injuries—one in the hand and the other in the thigh. The MTP says that approximately 40 passengers were onboard the bus at the time of the shooting. Currently, police are searching for two “persons of interest” capture on video at the time of the incident who walked off the scene after the shooting.
