LIBRARY JAMS: For anyone who missed the fantastic lunchtime performance Chain & The Gang gave at The MLK Library last week, you’ve got another chance to catch Ian Svenonius’ unique and brilliant approach to performance and art in the unusual setting of a D.C. public library. “Escape-Ism” is an experiential solo project, incorporating sampled found sound into what Spiv calls a “fractured dream narrative.” I’m not quite sure what the result will sound like, though if it’s anything like his other projects it will certainly be interesting and thought-provoking. The library actually seems like a pretty natural space for a more intellectually minded music project like this. Basically, come get weird at the library on a Thursday evening. Free, starts at 6:30 p.m.Alex Tebeleff
