Looks like the rumors aren’t true: Mitt Romney will not run for President of the United States again.

The Daily Beast reported earlier that Romney plans to call his senior donors this morning to “update” them on his campaign plans, which, according to their sources, is a run for President on the Republican ticket. But apparently that’s not the case.

Hugh Hewitt reports a leaked email that Romney is sending to his supporters that confirms he won’t be running for President, in order to “give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee.”

Among those “other leaders in the Party?” Well, it’s rumored Jeb Bush will run, as well as New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who is having trouble with chairs lately.
