You might have noticed that it’s snowing. You may have read that it’s going to be quite a bit of snow. What does that mean? It means that Mayor Muriel Bowser has declared a snow emergency for D.C beginning at 7 a.m. tomorrow.

Under a snow emergency, any vehicle parked along a snow emergency route will be towed and owners will suffer some serious fines: $250 ticket for the snow emergency violation; $100 tow fee; $20 per day storage fee.

So remember not to park on any street that has a sign saying it’s a snow emergency route, but if you do and your car is towed, you can pick it up at the DPW Impound Lot (500 Shepherd Parkway SW).
