Many bemoaned the sale of Pharmacy Bar—Adams Morgan’s one dive* bar—last year as the new owners outlined plans to turn it into a “coffee bar and public house.” But it looks like the cherished 18th Street spot will remain a “dive” bar as new owners prepare to take it over.

The Post’s Express reports that the owners who bought the spot from Pharmacy owner Kristaps Kreslins last year have sold it after their plans to turn it into Troublemaker Coffee Bar & Public House fell through.

In an interview with Express, the new owners, Tristan Magee and Andrew Stuart, will try to keep the spot a “dive,” going so far as to rename it The High Dive. What does that mean? Not much. The interior will remain essentially the same, save for Pharmacy’s signature medical-themed furniture. In addition the owners say they’re going to add some more seating, a new jukebox (but really, what can replace Pharmacy’s old one?), and a Street Fighter II arcade game.

“It’s going to have an early ‘90s vibe, without being intentional,” Magee told Express. OK then.

*”Dive bar” is a relative term, since there are none in D.C.
