Waking up on Saturday morning to pristine white snow blankets and steady flurries was pretty much unilaterally awesome. But now, it’s Wednesday, and the snow has transformed from magical white fairy dust to a gray, solid, icy nightmare. I’d give a toe for just one warm, sunny day.

But local dream-pop trio The Walking Sticks have a lovely, snowy music video for their track “You Got What You Wanted” so we never forget about this magical weekend. Singer Chelsea Lee is centered in the white wonderland, emanating that ubiquitous glee of dancing while no one’s watching. Add the backdrop of perfect white powder and a lusty pop track and you’ll be begging for snow again.

The Walking Sticks have perfected their formula: Twin brothers Max and Spencer Ernst create guitar and keyboard parts that are as jazzy as they are dreamy, while Lee’s addictive and soulful voice soars throughout. Every track they make is intriguing, and “You Got What You Wanted” is the perfect, poppy slice of tunage that proves why they’re worth watching.

The Walking Sticks play Thursday, March 12th, at AMP (the Strathmore’s new space) with Baltimore’s Lower Dens. The show is all ages and tickets are $12.
