If life was like Ghostbusters and Gozer the Gozerian asked some D.C. resident to chose the form of our destructor, it would appear they chose snow. A certain snowy doom is scheduled to hit D.C. overnight, with anywhere between four and eight inches possible in the city. As such, Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced a snow emergency will take effect at 7 a.m.

That means if you park anywhere on a snow emergency route, you’re facing some hefty fines and possible towing. Specifically, a $250 ticket, plus a $100 towing fee, plus $20 per day storage fee. If your car is towed, here’s where you can find out where it is.

More than 200 snow plows will be deployed beginning at 2 a.m., so hopefully the streets won’t be too bad (you can track their progress here).
