Update: Greenbelt station has been reopened, but expect minor residual delays. The woman has been transported to the hospital.

A woman was struck by a Metro train at the Greenbelt station around 12:30 p.m. today.

It appears to have been intentional, said Metro spokesman Mike Tolvert. Police are on the scene trying to rescue the woman. Her condition is unknown.

The station is temporarily closed and Metro is running shuttle services to College Park. The rest of the Green Line is operating normally.
