LEMURS: Save the Lemurs! The Lemur Conversation Network—of which Project Director and Creative Director Lynne Venart is a long-time DCist contributor—a group of over 40 organizations uniting to save the Lemurs, is hosting a launch party at Right Proper Brewing. There will be live music, discounted drinks, a brand new book (not even in stores yet!) from renowned lemur researcher Alison Jolly for sale, and giveaways including Lemur bobbleheads and t-shirts. You should also plan to tweet, tweet, tweet, as The Art Monkey will award Conservation Fusion with $5 for every #ilovelemurs social media mention during the event (up to $500). Raffle proceeds (first raffle ticket is free) will be donated to Sadabe (624 T Street NW) 6-10 p.m.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Contrario Collective, the recently launched “photocollective dedicated to fostering, challenging, and showcasing the creative images created by a group of distinct individuals,” is hosting their first event tonight.
