The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl.

Shawnetta Payne was last seen in the 2200 block of Southern Avenue SE yesterday at 9 p.m., according to MPD. She is described as 5’3″ black female, about 120 pounds, with waist-length braids. She was last seen wearing grey pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, a white tank top, and black Nike boots.
