Potholepalooza—one of the many signifiers of winter’s end in District—will officially kick off tomorrow and, hell, we need it.

Last year, the District Department of Transportation filled more than 12,000 potholes during the annual month-long campaign, which aims to fill all potholes within 48 hours of being reported.

Mayor Muriel Bowser, along with DDOT director Leif Dormsjo, will officially kickoff Potholepalooza tomorrow at the Bald Eagle Recreation Center, launching what they’re calling “the District’s ‘War on Potholes.'” So far, DDOT says they’ve filled nearly 7,300 potholes in the past couple of weeks.
