Video footage from WMATA shows a man in a motorized wheelchair slowly rolling off the platform and landing on the tracks at the U Street Metro station this afternoon.
A bystander jumps down to rescue the man and a few seconds later a second person also goes down to help.
The man in the wheelchair was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the good samaritans weren’t harmed, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said.
