Prosecutors are planning to pursue additional charges against a D.C. Police officer who was arrested and charged for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.

The Post reports that 45-year-old Darrell Best is facing addition charges after investigators found photos of one of the two teenaged victims on his cellphone. During a hearing today in D.C. Superior Court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah McClellan told the judge that prosecutors will file child pornography charges against Best. Best already faces charges of first degree sex abuse of a minor.

According to the Post, Best, who also serves as pastor of the God-A Second Chance Ministry Church on Southern Avenue SE, was charged with sexually abusing two girls, ages 16 and 17. One of the crimes allegedly occurred in his office at the D.C. police headquarters. The other allegedly occurred in the church he’s a pastor at, where he took nude photos of her before sexually abusing her.

Best is currently on suspension without pay and is locked up in a D.C. jail until he goes to trial.
