Several people are confirmed dead after a house fire in Northwest D.C.

A Metropolitan Police Department public information officer couldn’t confirm how many fatalities there are as investigators are currently on the scene, but NBC4 reports that at least three people are dead. Another person, NBC4 says, was found in critical condition at the scene of the fire.

According to D.C. Fire and Emergency Services, units were dispatched to a home at the 3200 block of Woodland Drive NW at about 1:30 p.m. today. According to the Post, the fire was put down at about 2:30 p.m.
