Part of a small business jet ended up in the grass off a runway at Baltimore-Washington International Marshall Airport this morning. No one was injured in the incident.

A Cessna Citation carrying two passengers landed at the airport shortly after 8 a.m. and experienced an apparent mechanical problem as it was transitioning off the runway onto a taxiway, said Jonathan Dean, a BWI spokesman. Part of the plane ended up in the grass.

Commercial operations at the airport weren’t affected and the plane has been towed away, Dean said.
