Bad news, tourists: the Washington Monument is closed yet again and it will be until at least Thursday.

According to National Park Service spokesman Michael Litterst, the elevator issue at the Monument is still standing and technicians are working to repair it. Last week, the Monument shut down for two days because of an elevator issue. It reopened for the weekend, only to be closed again yesterday again.

Litterst says that the problem “is suspected to have been caused by the repeated shut downs of the elevator over the last week due to intermittent loss of power.” We’ll see if it’ll reopen on Thursday. Sorry, tourists.
