If the time-honored tradition of free outdoor movies in D.C. were like the world of Jurassic Park, then Screen on the Green is surely the top dino. And today, the T. Rex of outdoor summer screening series let out its roar, announcing this year’s lineup.
Things will kick off on July 20 with the Alfred Hitchcock classic North by Northwest. The other classics being screened this summer include The Poseidon Adventure on July 27, Desk Set on August 3, and Back to the Future on August 10. No Jurassic Park though. Sigh.
Unlike last year, Screen on the Green will screen from a new location on the National Mall—between 4th and 7th Streets NW—because of construction. Movies will begin at dusk, usually at about 8:30 to 9 p.m.
And you can see the full list of outdoor screening series happening in and around D.C. here.
Editor’s note: I apologize for that lead. I saw Jurassic World last night and now I have dinosaurs on the brain. As you were.
