Who needs naked mole rats and clouded leopards when you can watch the construction of a giant ball pit?
Each year, it seems the National Building Museum’s large-scale attractions have gotten bigger as they’ve gotten more popular. This year’s BEACH is no exception, recreating a beach-side scene complete with an “ocean” of recyclable translucent plastic balls inside their Great Hall.
In addition to crowdfunding the extravaganza, the museum has teamed up with a company called Work Zone Cam to … film the work zone.
They’ll be putting up a daily timelapse of the installation progress (so far it seems they’ve just been setting up for things completely unrelated to this project). So go forth, bored office workers, and watch as other people do actual work.
The BEACH runs from July 4 to September 7. Tickets will cost $10 for adult members ($5 for youth members/students/seniors) and $16 for adult non-members ($13 for youth members/students/seniors).
