Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects who robbed a 17-year-old male at gunpoint inside of an elevator at the Shady Grove Metro station.

According to police, the 17-year-old reported that he was robbed at gunpoint on May 8. A surveillance footage confirms the robbery, which took place in the Shady Grove Metro station elevator at approximately 5:25 p.m. Police describe the three suspects as follows:

The suspect with the handgun is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 6’ and weighing approximately 170 pounds. This suspect was wearing a red hat and a purple t-shirt with the words “I Love DC” across the front.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 5’10” in height with a thin build. This suspect was wearing a gray shirt and a teal backpack that concealed the handgun used during the robbery.

The third suspect is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 6’5” in height with a thin build. This suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and sunglasses during the robbery.
