PERU: This year, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival celebrates the culture of Peru. The festival kicks off today (and runs through Sunday, July 5, Wednesdays-Sundays only), and features a performance by Eva Ayllón, aka “Peru’s Tina Turner.” National Mall, Ralph Rinzler Concert Stage. 7-9 p.m. Free.
