The D.C. area has moved on from putting bacon on its doughnuts to serving doughnuts with a side of Kevin Bacon.
The actor was in town for a gig at the Birchmere with his band The Bacon Brothers when he apparently got a sugar craving. So he headed to the one place where he could definitely get a free pastry.
“In honor of @kevinbacon playing @thebirchmere, for today’s freebie, sing the only song Everybody can Cut Loose to,” Alexandria’s Sugar Shack had posted on Facebook the day before. So that’s what Bacon did, after waiting on a rather long line (he had time to take at least one selfie with a fan).
You never know who will show up to sing for a free House donut. #donuts4Good #KevinBacon

Despite the sweltering temperatures, he also played a surprise concert for the volunteers at City Blossoms later that day.
