It’s finally here. The third installment in the Sharknado movie series, which promises to be the blockbuster of the summer, premieres on Syfy Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Indeed, Sharknado III is set in D.C., with a cast including B-list actors and political figures nobody really wants to hear from, like Ann Coulter and Michelle Bachmann. Bachmann, especially, gets the classic line, “I believe they are growing in size, Congress has to take this seriously.” (Presumably she gets eaten by a CGI shark shortly after.)

Should you want to watch this movie while getting roaring drunk (is there another way?), you’re in luck.

Ventnor Sports Cafe’s watch party starts at 8 p.m. and includes specials and giveaways from Landshark, “shark tacos,” and “other exciting shark specials.”

McClellan’s Retreat, the Dupont Bar named after the Civil War general, is also hosting a party to view the thing, starting at 9 pm. Specials include Jell-O shots and hurricanes.

Meanwhile, those who aren’t caught up on the franchise can watch all three in one go at Shenanigan’s Irish Pub in Adams Morgan. The original screens and 5 p.m., Sharknado 2 begins at 7 p.m., and the premiere of D.C. Under Attack comes on at 9 p.m. They promise happy hour prices all night.

For the suburbanites, LANSlide GameCenter in Clinton, Maryland is having an event, starting at 9 as well.

And for those who want to make themselves feel a little bit better about this whole thing, Mission in Dupont Circle is playing host to a viewing party coupled with fundraiser for Shark Advocates International (a project of The Ocean Foundation).

Of course, the movie is not going to be any good. Apparently, it is even not very good in comparison to the other movies in the Sharknado franchise, which is saying something.

Recall that this is a movie series whose premise is that a tornado picks up a bunch of hungry sharks and then hurls them around, causing mayhem in whatever location they end up. You will need an alcoholic beverage in hand. Here is a drinking game created by the cast of the movie, who we can only assume were also drunk during filming.

Finally, if you do watch the party at home, you will need a cake.
