The body of a male found in the Anacostia River has been identified as 16-year-old Oludumare Obasule Olushhola Ayodeji of Maryland, police say.

According to authorities, Ayodeji’s body was discovered on Friday, July 3 in the water underneath the Benning Road Bridge at approximately 7:30 a.m. A Harbor Unit recovered the body and it was transported to the hospital for an autopsy.

Thus far, authorities have not found any signs of foul play. However, an investigation into Ayodeji’s death is still pending and police are asking anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or sending an anonymous top to 50411.
