A man on his way to work this morning, left something in his car when he entered the Forest Glen Metro station: his six-month-old baby.
NBC4 reports that the man parked at the Metro parking station around 7:30 a.m. this morning, leaving his kid locked in the car. It was nearly three hours later—just after 10 a.m.—that he realized what he did and called the kid’s grandparents, who called authorities for help.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and smashed the windows of the car to get the child out. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. NBC4 reports the baby is conscious and breathing, but his body temperature is “very high.”
