Hey, here’s something new: in addition to scheduled weekend track work, Metro is doing track work during the week. Since yesterday, service on the Orange, Blue, Silver, and Red Lines has been adjusted for some track work.

On the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines, trains are single-tracking between the McPherson Square and the Smithsonian stations “to allow for rail fastener replacement. ” On the Red Line, trains are single-tracking between the Dupont Circle and Van Ness stations for the same reason. Service will be adjusted on these four lines from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the rest of the week.
