It finally happened: more than a year after D.C.-area resident Erick Sanchez raised $30,000 on Kickstarter, Kenny Loggins and his Blue Sky Riders performed a concert in his living room yesterday evening—well, his parents’ living room, to be precise.
A select number of people—who paid upwards of $300—crammed into Sanchez’s parent’s Fairfax living room to catch the “Danger Zone” scribe and his acoustic band perform a number of hits. Others who donated to the Kickstarter were able to watch a live-stream of the event, many from their own living rooms. Loggins even dedicated his performance of “Danger Zone” to Jimmy Kimmel, who featured Sanchez’s Kickstarter campaign on his show, helping launch his endeavor to national attention. Noticeably absent from yesterday’s concert, however: H. Jon Benjamin.
