Welcome Chelsea Clinton back to D.C. and get a signed copy of her new book next week. She will be at Politics and Prose on Thursday, September 24th at 7 p.m. as part of a book tour for It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired, & Get Going! (Philomel, $19).

The book is geared toward kids aged 10-14 who are interested in public service but are unsure where to start. Clinton covers areas of need such as poverty, homelessness, health care, access to education, the environment, women’s and human rights, and more. She says she wrote it after realizing there weren’t many books out there for kids about current issues and what they could do to help.

After spending her formative years in the White House, Chelsea Clinton received her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University, and Master of Philosophy and doctorate degree from Oxford University. She now serves as Vice Chair of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation and lives in New York City with her husband, daughter, and dog.
