Listen, we’ve all slept underneath our desk from time to time (right?), but at least for a few days next week, there’s another way. And that way is a napmobile.
Online mattress retailer Casper —who you may recall was behind a five-day, pop-up “snooze bar” in Georgetown earlier this year—has rigged up the equivalent of a roving pod hotel, and they are driving it around the East Coast. In addition to Casper’s mattresses (duh), the spaces have been outfitted with a phone that will lull you to sleep with bedtime stories and a pull-down shutter to get some shut-eye in peace. It’s a siren call for the bleary-eyed masses.
They’ll be parked at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and the plan is to offer naptime between noon and 8 p.m. from September 25-27.
