It’s been a while since we first learned that Momofuku, the ridiculously famous ramen and steamed bun joint that launched David Chang’s food empire, would be coming to D.C. Well, for those intrepid masochists who actually want to be a part of the action (and not just taste it) we have good news: Momofuku is now hiring.
The CityCenter location (1090 I St NW) will include both a Momofuku Milk Bar and a new restaurant concept which will include dishes from Momofuku menus in New York, Toronto, and Sydney. The open hiring call will run daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until this Saturday for both front and back-of-the-house positions, including beverage manager, events and marketing manager, front-of-house managers, front-of-house team members, line cooks, and prep cooks. Interviews will be held at 996 I Street NW. All positions are listed as including comprehensive benefits, including health/dental/vision and gym and commuter discounts, so this could be a pretty sweet gig for those looking to get experience and make a name for themselves.
And with the restaurant staffing up, hungry Washingtonians can take heart that a Momofuku opening (and those sweet, sweet pork buns) are just around the corner.
