Despite promises of doom and gloom (cloudiness), Washingtonians got a rather stunning view of the eclipse/supermoon last night. And D.C.’s photographers were ready for it, sharing some excellent photos in DCist’s Flickr pool. It’s was a good thing, because the next time a full lunar eclipse is scheduled to coincide with a supermoon (which occurs when the moon’s elliptical orbit is closest to the earth) is in 2033.
