After a transformer fire last month, Metro introduced a litany of changes to cope with the reduced power at Stadium Armory as well as the ensuing bottlenecks in the system. But problems continued this morning, with a variety of malfunctioning train parts only making things worse. In addition to the speed restrictions around Stadium Armory, the issues included a brake problem on the Red line, a door problem on the Orange line, and a brake problem on the Silver line. Riders report:

Meanwhile, the newly formed WMATA Riders’ Union has announced its first public meeting, taking place Oct. 19 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library.
