Are you looking to rent and come with (very) little baggage? Good news: D.C.’s tiniest home is on the market.

The space is on Capitol Hill and measures 9.5 feet by 28 feet—about 252 square feet. Not to be confused with a typical studio apartment, the property has it’s own front and back yards. It also manages to fit a washer/dryer unit—I’m impressed.

Plus, it’s “bright and funky” according to this Craigslist ad. But check it out for yourself (though be prepared for the onslaught of ‘It’s A Small World’):

Other features include exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, a skylight and recently renovated bathroom. Fancy, huh?

According to an old Washington Post Magazine feature on the home, a previous tenant rented the space for $1,000/month. Well, now it’s $1,400, and available mid-November.

If I’ve completely sold you on your next new home (and no, I’m not getting paid to do it), the open house is November 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or you can see it earlier by appointment only.
