Metropolitan Police have identified a man who was pulled from a black Hummer in the Anacostia River—51-year-old, Lamont Gordon.

At 10:05 p.m. last night, D.C. Police responded to a report regarding a vehicle in the Anacostia River at Pennsylvania Avenue and the Sousa Bridge in Southeast, according to spokeswoman for MPD.

Police have not disclosed further information, however, according to WUSA 9, the vehicle was a black Hummer that was eventually pulled out of the water and towed away. A man’s body was found inside the truck.

An investigation is underway.
