Has it always been your dream to run around Nationals Stadium dressed like a 12-foot version one of our most illustrious presidents…or like William Howard Taft? Well, too bad.
The Nationals released a statement announcing their auditions for this season’s racing presidents this Sunday. Those trying out must “perform a freestyle dance, run a 40-yard dash and participate in two races from center field to first base,” as well as answer a series of questions from staffers. Sounds promising!
Before you start choreographing, though, know this—the team has already pre-selected those who can participate in the audition, from a pool of applicants who submitted a cover letter and resume.
Don’t get too depressed over your missed opportunity. As we said to Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, George Pataki, Lincoln Chafee, and many, many more, you can always try to run again next season.
