President Barack Obama will deliver his final State of the Union address this evening, and one thing’s for sure: bars around town have stocked up on booze to commemorate the occasion. Whether you plan to tear up with the president from sadness or relief, this isn’t an address to miss.

Busboys and Poets will broadcast the address at all six of its locations. IMPACT—a non-profit focusing on economic empowerment, civic engagement, and political involvement—will host a watch party at Busboys’ 5th & K Street NW location at 8 p.m. Screenings are free and open to the public.

The Adams Morgan bar will host D.C.’s “original” State of the Union watch party—a tradition that’s taken place for over a decade. Guests are asked to choose a word and every time Obama says it, they take a $1 Jell-O shot. The event begins a 9 p.m.
Ventnor Sports Café is located at 2411 18th Street NW.
Council Member David Grosso and other special guests will join Network For Progress at Local Sixteen. Guests can give themselves and their organizations a “Me in a Minute” shout-out at the DJ booth, which can be shared with other attendees. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. All attendees will receive a straw poll card, raffle ticket, and pizza at 7 p.m. $10 suggested donation at the door without RSVP.

The Washington Examiner’s watch party will feature SOTU Bingo, plus your first drink is free. Festivities take place at The 201 Bar at 8 p.m. Free admission, RSVP here.

What is politics but a spectator sport? Makes sense to watch the SOTU the same place you’d watch the big game. Plus, Nellie’s watch party is sponsored by the Senate GLASS Caucus—the organization for LBGT Senate staffers. The shebang begins at 8:30 p.m.
