The design of the new D.C. United stadium planned for Buzzard Point is still in the design phase, but we’re starting to get a much clearer picture of what it will look like once completed.

The team released three new renderings on their site yesterday, and they submitted many more to the zoning commission among their architectural plans (Urban Turf first noted them).

D.C. filed paperwork in October to seize the remaining land needed from a developer. D.C. United managing general partner Jason Levien told The Washington Post last month that he expects the team to have control of the site by this summer, with construction estimates of 14-18 months.

What happens to RFK once D.C. United vacates the aging stadium remains unclear, but Events DC is expected to release proposals to the public this month.
