Metro officials have been working overtime to get things back in shape after Jonas. While Metrobus will operate on a “light” service plan today, all 91 Metro stations are now open, with trains running every 8 minutes during rush hours. And some downtown stations will see trains every 4 minutes.
Another sign things are getting back to normal: Metro plans for weekend track work to effect all six lines, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday.
Red Line
Trains every 9-24 minutes
Single tracking in two zones to allow for rail renewal, joint elimination and communication cable installation.
Between Van Ness and Friendship Heights Between Silver Spring and Glenmont Red Line trains will operate:
Between Shady Grove and Silver Spring every 18 minutes Between Farragut North and Silver Spring every 9-10 minutes from 9AM to 9PM. Shuttle train will operate between Silver Spring and Glenmont every 24 minutes. Transfer at Silver Spring to continue trip.
Orange Line
Trains every 20 minutes
Single tracking between Foggy Bottom and Clarendon to allow for rail fastener renewal and emergency call box replacement.
Silver Line
Trains every 10 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston
Silver Line trains will operate every 10 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only. Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.
Blue Line
Trains every 20 minutes

Yellow Line
Trains every 20 minutes Huntington to Fort Totten
Single tracking between Mt. Vernon Sqare and L’Enfant Plaza to allow for rail fastener renewal and joint elimination.

Single tracking between Mt. Vernon Square and L’Enfant Plaza to allow for rail fastener renewal and joint elimination.
