District residents will receive two extra days to pick a plan, thanks to the blizzard, according to a Facebook post from the insurance marketplace:
It is not too late to avoid the tax penalty and to sign up for affordable health insurance through DC Health Link. Due to the historic snow storm that hit the DC region last week, DC residents will have an additional two days to sign up for health insurance coverage through DC Health Link. The new deadline to sign up is 11:59pm on Tuesday, February 2. Individuals who sign up by that deadline will have coverage that begins March 1, 2016.
