Here’s what you need to know about this weekend’s scheduled maintenance: it’s happening on all six lines, with trains running every 10-24 minutes. And if you think your train is going slower than normal, it’s not just you. While there are often temporary speed restrictions somewhere on the more than 100 miles of track, they are putting a priority on fixing conditions on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines, according to Metro spokeswoman Sherri Ly. To that end, there are speed restrictions in place around Cheverly, Foggy Bottom, McPherson Square, and West Falls Church. While normal speeds are up to 55 miles per hour, they’ll be limited in those areas to 15 miles per hour while engineers are scheduling repairs.
