Just when you thought the wintry weather was over… snow returns tonight. And that means plows will hit the streets this evening.

The D.C. government reports that plows will be fully deployed at 9 p.m. The National Weather Service says snow will start falling around the same time.

Tonight’s accumulation is expected to reach one to two inches. Tomorrow, the District can expect mix of snow and rain until noon, then a slight chance of rain until 3 p.m, according to the NWS.

Meanwhile, much of the rest of the world is in the midst of a heatwave that has contributed to the terrifying milestone of the Northern Hemisphere reaching two degrees Celsius above “normal” for the first time.
