First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed the cast of Hamilton to the White House at 1:45 p.m, and President Obama will introduce them before the full cast performance this evening. The actors are in town to perform and test a pilot version of their forthcoming educational program. This livestream is a good substitute if you can’t be in the room where it happens.
Before making it to the White House, the cast made the most of their time in the city, though unfortunately, the musical’s writer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda woke up with a crick in his neck in a D.C. hotel.

He and the cast still managed to scope out some of the sites relevant to Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton, the subject of the award-winning musical. That includes meeting current Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, and eying centuries-old silverware.
