Hamilton writer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda showed off his freestyle skills yesterday with help from President Barack Obama. The President held up cards with random words like carbon footprint, congress, innovation, Supreme Court, immigrant, Oval Office, and the MacArthur-appointed genius strung them together in a two-minute Rose Garden performance.

“That’s going viral,” President Obama said after dapping up the artist.

Miranda and his musical colleagues were in town this week to perform for the First Family and test a pilot version of their educational program as part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s student workshops. Today, the lead actor will advocate on behalf of Puerto Rico in Congress.

Miranda showed off his freestyle skills last year when he and Tariq from The Roots rapped on the Jimmy Fallon show.
