Less than 10 hours after reopening, Metro is dealing with issues on its beleaguered Orange/Blue/Silver line. However, the problem is not related to yesterday’s investigation into the jumper cables that shut down the system for 29 hours.

The Silver Line train offloaded due to an issue with a brake, says Metro spokesperson Sherri Ly. “It was a mechanical issue with the train. The cables are electrical issues with the tracks.”
The issue will not cause any single-tracking or other service interruptions. “Those people offloaded and now they’re well on their way,” says Ly.
