A WMATA spokesperson says that a newspaper vendor allegedly assaulted a man this morning at a Metro station.
A man who was handing out The Washington Post’s Express newspaper at Addison Road station got into an altercation with a 24-year-old male who he ended up stabbing, according to Metro spokesperson Dan Stessel.
The incident occurred just after 8:30 a.m, Stessel says. Police are currently searching for the suspect, and the victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but is in stable condition.
