Felony assault charges have been dropped against against six teens for their alleged role in a “large skirmish” at the Gallery Place Metro Station in late January.
All of the teens—five males and one female—are students at Wilson High School, and had been ordered off the Metro system following their charges.
In a statement to NBC Washington, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine said he could not comment on the specific case, but as a rule, “We may not prosecute to trial a charge that the prosecutor knows is not supported by evidence sufficient to establish a prima facie showing of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”
