The country’s 31st president is this season’s visiting racing president, joining the esteemed ranks of permanent racers George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, crowd favorite Teddy Roosevelt, and William Howard Taft, the latest addition to the permanent squad.
Last year, 30th president Calvin Coolidge held the honor of the first “visiting” president. The Washington Nationals partner with the White House Historical Association to bring visiting presidents to the games.
