Winners do get prizes! Now that the Washington Capitals made it to the second round of the playoffs, Metro will stay open an hour late tonight for fans attending the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

To get into the MetroRail system after midnight, you’ve got to use one of three station entrances:

• Gallery Place (7th & F Street entrance only)
• Judiciary Square (F Street entrance only)
• Metro Center (11th & G Street entrance only)

Customers will be able to exit all stations. To make sure there’s a train for you once you’ve entered, Metro advises entering no later than 12:45 a.m. You might not turn into a pumpkin, but the last train for the evening will have left the station.

The extended service is paid for through an agreement with Verizon Center, according to Metro.
